About Neil Laird
For more than thirty years, Neil Laird has travelled the world telling stories about ancient history, archaeology and the people who uncover them.
Neil Laird is an Emmy- and BAFTA-nominated documentary producer and executive producer who has developed, produced and overseen more than 1,000 hours of nonfiction television for National Geographic, BBC, PBS, History, Discovery Channel and other international broadcasters.
His work spans history, archaeology, science, exploration and factual entertainment, with particular expertise in ancient civilizations, human origins and international production. Across more than three decades, he has worked with archaeologists, historians, scientists and explorers in more than seventy countries, turning complex ideas and discoveries into compelling television.
After more than thirty years making documentaries about the ancient world, Neil began wondering what would happen if a television crew could actually go back and film it.
