Neil Laird is an Emmy- and BAFTA-nominated documentary producer and executive producer who has developed, produced and overseen more than 1,000 hours of nonfiction television for National Geographic, BBC, PBS, History, Discovery Channel and other international broadcasters.

His work spans history, archaeology, science, exploration and factual entertainment, with particular expertise in ancient civilizations, human origins and international production. Across more than three decades, he has worked with archaeologists, historians, scientists and explorers in more than seventy countries, turning complex ideas and discoveries into compelling television.Neil develops, writes and produces television, working as an executive producer, showrunner and documentary producer, as well as on-camera talent and an expert contributor.

Ancient history and archaeology have been a thread throughout Neil’s career, from his early work on the Sphinx and Great Pyramids to documentaries about Tutankhamun, Pompeii, Rome, lost civilizations, human origins and some of history’s most enduring mysteries.
